Welcome to Horizon Mediation

We are a team of highly experienced professional mediators, all formerly practising lawyers, now specialising in family mediation. We have advised, helped and represented thousands of husbands, wives, mothers and fathers through mediation and at Court.

With a combined experience of over 50 years, we cover Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, London and Oxfordshire.

All our mediators are Family Mediation Council Accredited – the Gold Standard in mediation. We care about your issues and concerns and will work closely with you so you feel fully supported through the mediation process. We will guide you to the light at the end of the tunnel.

How can we help?

At Horizon Mediation we offer a wide range of specialist family mediation services and are all experts in the field. Our primary aim is to help you to secure the very best outcome for you and your family.

Here are a few of the common issues we find coming up again and again with links to more information about how we can help.

You know what’s best for your family

Family Mediation allows you to decide your future so you can move on with your life. Mediation Information and Assessment Meetings (MIAMs) and mediation sessions are available online and at our offices.

My children need stability

“Child Inclusive Mediation” gives your kids a safe way to express their feelings and concerns without putting them under pressure. Knowing what they think will help you as parents to make important decisions for them for the future.

I can’t be in a room with my ex

If for any reason you do not want to be in the same room with your ex-partner we can provide a safe, separate space where you can mediate without having any contact. This is often called “shuttle mediation” and your mediator will act as a go-between. There is also the option of conducting meetings online.

My ex won’t stick to agreements

If your situation changes and the arrangements aren’t working you can go back to your mediator and change the original agreement. If you’ve made an agreement legally binding and somebody doesn’t follow it you should consider whether it can be sorted out with the help of a mediator. If not, it can also be enforced through the courts.
